Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday today! After waking up super early and finding that the Easter Bunny had visited the house, Ella was so excited to see what he had brought her. (The night before she was having major anxiety over the fact that he was going to put her basket at the end of her bed. Well, she did not want him to go into her room, so she asked if I could call him and ask him to put her basket on the kitchen table) We played a couple of games of Connect 4 (Ella's Easter request this year), got all dressed up in our Sunday best and headed up to North Scottsdale for church with my parents and the Mantle's. We made it through the hour-long service easily - Uncle Cody entertained Ella with a painting app on his phone and Jonah was passed up and down the row. Ella thought, "the church was pretty and the songs were nice". We then headed over to the Mantle's for yummy brunch, an Easter egg hunt, more Easter basket surprises, and even a nap for Travis and I (yes, I actually took a nap - the first in a long, long time). It was an absolutely spendid day spent with our loving family - we are sooo lucky to have them close by (and the fact that they like spending time with eachother makes it even better)

The Easter Bunny followed Ella's request and left the baskets on the kitchen table
